  • Description:

An exceptional example of an Eastern, probably Persian, dagger.  This piece shows a 15" blade .  2 3/4" at the base.  The wood grip is overlaid with finely worked silver that is overall hand tooled. The front face shows 3 large silver balls to afford a secure grip.  The spine of the blade shows 4 1/2" of tooling on both sides.  The front face of the scabbard shows the same quality silver tooling and an exact fit to the sheathed dagger.  The remaining body of the sheath is covered with tooled brass.  Attached is an original leather carry belt.  This piece was brought back by a British military officer at some point of time post WW1. An above average example.
