SN3683548 is a Springfield U.S. M1 Garand built in April 1945. This example appears to be all original including the barrel that is dated 4/45. The only exception is the stock which was replaced at some time after 1952. The left side shows the Defence acceptance cartouche which was used after 1952 when so many Garands returned from the Korean war. The metal shows the original finish and clear markings. There is some light pitting on the left receiver rail and on the stock ferrule. The bore unfortunately shows overall corrosion but appears to be very shootable. Other than the aforementioned this WW2 example is in better than average condition for an original (not rebuilt) Garand. This item is also available as a Dewat at the same price as offered.
