• Description:

  SN 28596 is a Webley & Scott Ltd, 38 S&W caliber target revolver that remains in outstanding condition.  This Webley shows a 6" barrel with a bright excellent plus bore.  This target revolver is fitted with a target front and adjustable target rear sight.  The finish rates at 95-98% both metal and wood.  The blue is the high luster Vienna blue.  By the start of WW1 the serial of the MKIII reached 22,000.  This example was purchased by a military officer at some time in the era of WW1.  This outstanding revolver came with its original officer's style of leather holster built for fitting to a Sam Brown. This would suggest that this double action only example was ordered from Webley in this configeration.  The Webley was originally sourced out of Victoria B.C. which had a very signifigant number of retired military officers both British and Canadian.  This is an exceptional Webley that shows little if any evidence of actual usage.  Restricted Status
