• Description:

  Exceptional Webley & Scott W.S. target revolver.  This revolver shows a 7 1/2" barrel with bright excellent bore in 455 caliber with adjustable target sight.  This piece remains in excellent plus condition showing 98% original high polish blue.  This fine example shows the checkered trigger, hammer, cylinder cam and lever in high polish steel.  The same finish is found on SN 452780 (30 gun apart) on page 138 of " Webley Revolvers" by Bruce & Reinhart.  This revolver was probably built in the late 1920's or early 30's.  The highest known serial in the WS series was 454229 recorded in 1935.  The WS target models also show the deep barrel grooving ahead of the cylinder.  The piece shows excellent straw color on the cylinder rebound plate and is fitted with a leather and brass rillings snap pad.  This Webley is an exceptional example for the serious collector or someone who wants a Webley that is "About as good as it gets".  Restricted status.
