• Description:

  SN 98994 is a late war military revolver, 1944 or early 1945, Webley & Scott MKIV 38.  This revovler used either the 38 S&W 145 grain bullet or the harder hitting Webley 38 200 grain cartridge.  This example is marked on the left frame "war finish" .  The right side shows the broad arrows and inspector marks.  The top of the barrel shows the N over broad arrow indicating issue to the Royal Navy.  Bright excellent bore and cylinders and original 98% finish. The front sight shows an armory modification related to the use of the 200 grain bullet.  A sound and complete example.
