• Description:

  SN 8743 is a W.R. Pape English double.  This example shows 30" barrels, 2 3/4" chambers, choked full and modified.  The bores rate as bright excellent.  The barrel unit was built by Fried Krupp of Essen and are marked special gun barrel steel.  The barrel unit shows a typical high quality English refinish and nitro proofing.  The box lock action shows a cross bolt and overall scroll engraving.  The butt shows 14 1/2 lop.  The wood and checkering remain in excellent condition with horn butt plate. This shotgun comes in its' original case with a former owners name W.E. Wi;kinson and Durham (A Northern County in the area where Pape operated).  An overall excellent example of an English double 12 gauge.  The original case shows an excellent interior and comes with a correct cleaning rod and snap caps.
