  Sn 2838 is an uncommon rifle to be offered on the Canadian market.  This is a Model 1916 Newton, Mauser action in 256 Newton.  This rifle shows the 24" barrel with the Buffalo ,NY address and a bright very good bore.  This example shows 95% plus original blue and clear markings.  The sights are original with the added scarce Lyman bolt peep sight.  This rifle shows excellent wood with checkered pistol grip and stock;steel buttplate, grip cap and double set triggers.  A very unique feature of this vintage rifle is the built in takedown feature by unscrewing the magazine floorplate.  This rifle shows minimum usage and overall rates as excellent,  Reference - see current Bluebook values.
