• Description:

  SN 1378256 is a very good representative U.S. 1903 Springfield rifle.  This rifle was built in 1931. It probably saw service in WW2 and was refurbished in 1944.  The barrel shows the SA marking and the Nov 1944 date.  The finish is an old military re blue.  It shows three spots of pitting on the right side of the receiver and clear mrkings.  The bore is shootable with light pitting and a 1" counterbore at the muzzle.  The wood has been cleaned but is overall sound with no breaks.
