  SN 1418978 is a Springfield M1-D Garand sniper rifle in 30-06 caliber.  This example is all original and is one of the U.S. rifles provided to Denmark in the post WW2 era.  This rifle remains in its' "as issued" condition.  Bright excellent bore, with 95% plus original U.S. parkerized metal finish.  The original wood shows arsenal oil finish, P proof and matching serial on the butt 1418978.  This sniper is mounted with the correct M84 scope, Danish markings and 95% original blue.  The M84 has the thin post and crosshair reticle and clear optics.  This piece is mounted with the M2 flash hider and a duck green sling.
