S & W Lend Lease Victory Model Revolver

  S#V421208 is a Smith & Wesson Victory Model in 38 S&W cartridge.  The left top of the frame shows the flaming bomb, U.S. property and GHD inspector marks.  Otherwise, the piece shows the normal S&W marking on the right side and the 38 S&W barrel marking.  This example is one of the lend-lease Smith & Wessons as supplied to the Allied Forces in 38 S&W.  This information ties in to the fact that the revolver was brought back by a Canadian Non-Commissioned officer from WW2.  This revolver shows 97% of its original Parkerized finish, 60% case colors on the trigger and hammer and a bright excellent bore.  The original grips show obvious minor marks asociated with issue and usage.  An excellent example of a lend-lease Smith & Wesson revolver from 1942-1945.
