  This modern flintlock was built by Mireku in Japan.  This pistol was built circa late 1860's .  The barrel is 10", 54 cal ball, heavy construction thick barrel.  The fittings are all brass. The lock shows a U.S. eagle.  Overall, this piece is similar to a U.S. Harpers Ferry.  This piece is identical to our prior item 27/147 with the exception of a reshaped front sight. This piece was purchased about 50 years ago and remains unfired.  This piece weighs 3.2 lbs which is heavier than the later Italian repos. A sound modern flintlock pistol with overall excellent metal and wood.  A licnesed gunsmith should be consulted prior to shooting and the correct changes and loads be determined and test fired.  (Restricted Status)
