  A classic seven pound German sporting rifle built by V. Ehr. Schilling of Suhl, Prussia.  This rifle shows a 23 1/4" tapered octagon serrated rib barrel in 8X57 J caliber.  The bore rates at very good to excellent with very strong rifling.  The barrel is mounted with an original ramp sight and 2 two position rear sight 50-200 and 300 meters.  The metal is an overall grey/brown.  The wood is sound and shows an old refinish.  This classic piece could be restored with a little TLC. The checkering needs to be recut. With proper restoration,this would be a great example.  (Non Restricted)
