  A WW1 brass sight or surveying level built by J. Casartelli and Son, Manchester, 1918 dated showing a surplus sale broad arrow mark.  This piece shows a brass scale 00 to 40 and 0 to 20, a glass lever and an adjustable base 9" brass , a steel base.  This piece comes in a leather military style of case built by Harrods, Ltd. and dated 1918. A neat "what is it? " WW1 item.
