  SN BJ4398 is a 1946 built Lee Enfield Jungle Carbine.  This example shows a bright very good to excellent 303 caliber bore.  The date of manufacture and the overall blue/grey finish suggests use by the British forces in Burma.  This example shows obvious issue usage.  Matching bolt and correct carbine sight.  England is overstamped over the M47C marking.  The barrel shows the proofing as required prior to export.  The wood is correct and sound with little original finish.
