Cooey Model 60 Rifle

• Description:

  A very well executed custom Cooey Model 60 22 caliber rifle.  This piece came from an estate collection so the background information is now lost.  This unique example shows the following features- 20 " barrel fitted with Marble's 34 W front sight and Marble's rear sight.  The top of the receiver was professionally milled flat.  The front dove tail was professionally partially filled to accomodate the front sight.  The wood shows a hand checkering that is identical to the Eatonia Senior Special as shown on page 25 of the Belton booklet Fig 25.  The blue finish remains in excellent plus condition.  The finish was either factory or very professionally applied.  A 1" leather slng was mounted on the rifle.  The sling appears to be of the late 40's or 1950's era.  At this point it is not possible to determine the source of the custom work.  A very neat rifle for a Cooey or Canadian rifle collector.
