  SN 2002 is a very early oval triggerguard, steel strap 1849.  This pistol shows a 5" barrel with a bright excellent antique bore.  This Colt shows all matching numbers on the barrel, frame, triggerguard, lever, straps, spindel and wedge.  The cylinder shows the matching No 2002 and a very clear engraved stagecoach robbery scene.  The frame shows areas of muted case color and case turned to grey.  The barrel shows a clear London address and the correct London proofs.  The lever shows color in the protected areas.  The barrel shows blue in the area of the wedge.  The grips remain in very good plus condition showing normal usage marks.  This Colt has seen obvious usage but is 100% original with no signs of repair or replacement of any parts.  All of the nipples are original with clean cylinders. Only the area around the wedge shows tool marks. Overall this example is a very collectable London Colt pocket.  The loss of finish is balanced by the originality of the piece; the tightness of fit and the crisp sound action.  Antique status.
