  The item as offered here is best described as "condition is everything" BSA built, 1947 date is a British No 5Mk1 Jungle Carbine.  This rifle was manufactured in 1947 but was never issued.  This example is all matching No BK 5342, socket, bolt, magazine and wood.  All the major components are marked with the M47C BSA Shirley marks.  The overall finish is Parkerized with some minor parts showing late was black enamel.  The bore and feed ramp shows no user trace.The 0 bolt head shows no rebound trace.  The magazine shows 100% of its' black enamel finish. The wood shows clear crisp makers and inspectors marks.  The rubber pad remains as new.   We have handled numbers of excellent plus carbines over our years in business but none have exceeded the unissued condition of this item.
