• Description:

  Antique Snider MK III steel barreled 1872 Short Snider.  This BSA built for colonial service piece shows a bright 5 groove barrel, rating very good to excellent.  The metal shows a blue/brown finish on the barrel and a few spots of pitting below the rear sight and top of the breech.  The 1872 BSA lock shows excellent markings, color and fit.  The wood is sound with clear markings roundel, D.C. and 2 H.G.A. (Halifax Garrison Artillery) #191.  The rammer is a new replacement. An overall very good to excellent example.
