  SN 61905 is "one of a kind" Winchester rifle. This unique piece was presented to Robert L. Stanfield ,the premier of Nova Scotia and often described as the "Best Prime Minister that Canada did not have." This rifle is built on the standard Canadian Centennial rifle frame. The 26" barrel remains new and unfired. The rifle was factory stocked with special order deluxe wood and fitted with a gold inscription disk. This reads "The Hon Robert L. Stanfield OC, LLD, Premier of the Province of Nova Scotia on the occasion of Canada's Centennial. Further research would probably reveal the exact occasion of the presentation in 1967. This item is unique and scarce based on it's special order factory stocking. It is also special based on it's presentation to a respected Nova Scotian and Canadian.This piece comes with it's original glass faced Canadian oak display box. We are given to understand that this item was displayed in Robert Stanfield's den or office. We were informed that it was sold. A piece of Candian history for the advanced Canadian Winchester or political collector.
